Having been introduced into the world of internet by his elder brother When he was in the grade 7, Gopinath got fascinated by it. He felt like he wanted to offer some things useful like website design which consisted of email, voice mail and video mail services too. And finally, at the age of 14, he was asked by a network solutions company to host their website.
After that, he started focusing on tapping the NRI market and providing them with information related to visas, restaurants available abroad, etc. It started off as a home-office which later on went to became an enterprise.
The laws in India did not permit a person who was still a minor to setup a company. But that didn't stop Gopinath. Hence he setup Global Inc in San Jose. And now, Global Inc has a team of 600 members, and has offices in more than 11 countries around the world.
Like Bill Gates and Michael Dell, Gopinath sacrificed his student life to achieve the success he has achieved today. He manages to catch about only 4 hours of sleep every night as compared to the 8-9 hours earlier, plus he has to coordinate with his offices in the States!
