Formula one can't be more interesting than this season's final and drivers' championship contentder title deciding race at Abu Dhabi. As many as four drivers have the chance to become world champion in Abu Dhabi this weekend. But McLaren's Lewis Hamilton is virtually out of the contest. So its going to be Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and Red Bull's Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel who will crown the title.
Fernando Alonso (246 points points) will win the title if:
- he finishes 1st or 2nd
- he finishes 3rd, 4th or 5th, and neither Webber nor Vettel win
- he finishes 6th, with Webber no higher than 3rd and Vettel failing to win
- he finishes 7th or 8th, with Webber no higher than 4th and Vettel failing to win
- he finishes 9th, with Webber no higher than 5th and Vettel no higher than 3rd
- he finishes 10th, with Webber no higher than 6th and Vettel no higher than 3rd
- he fails to score, with Webber no higher than 6th, Vettel no higher than 3rd and Hamilton failing to win
If none of the rivals score? Alonso is champion.
Mark Webber (238 points) will win the title if:
- he wins, with Alonso no higher than 3rd
- he finishes 2nd, with Alonso no higher than 6th and Vettel failing to win
- he finishes 3rd, with Alonso no higher than 7th and Vettel failing to win
- he finishes 4th, with Alonso no higher than 9th and Vettel failing to win
- he finishes 5th, with Alonso no higher than 10th and Vettel failing to win
If none of the rivals score? Webber must finish 5th or higher to become champion.
Sebastian Vettel (231 points) will win the title if:
- he wins, with Alonso no higher than 5th
- he finishes 2nd with Alonso no higher than 9th and Webber no higher than 5th
If none of the rivals score? Vettel must finish 2nd or higher to become champion.
Lewis Hamilton (222 points) will win the title if:
- he wins, with Alonso failing to score, Webber no higher than 6th and Vettel no higher than 3rd.
If none of the rivals score? Hamilton must win to become champion.
