Fhm magazine recently conducted a pole on which Cheryl Cole was named the world’s sexiest woman of the year 2009. Cheryl Cole, 25, beat 2008 winner, the American actress and super model Megan Fox, into second place. Jessica Alba was third placed. A surprise result at number four was the American pop singer Britney Spears, who was expected to fall out of the top 100 following a turbulent year. Keeley Hazell came next to her for fifth place. Oscar winning "Slumdog Millionaire" fame Freida Pinto made it at number 10.

Ferrari F10 is the best car - Alonso

Fomula one 2010 season is getting closer and the F1 fans around the world are more eager than ever as with the introduction of new teams and the top drivers shifting their teams. michael schumacher makes a return to F1 with new team Mercedes. Jenson Button makes his debut with Mclaren. Felipe massa returns to Ferrari after the accident last year. Double world champion Fernando Alonso makes his 1st season with Ferrari. The fellow spaniard who drove Ferrari F10 quoted "Ferrari F10 is the best car he has ever driven".

Their rivals McLaren, Red Bull and Renault had clocked quick times, showing their potential. Alonso also said that Ferrari hasn't yet revealed its cards, but they feel optimistic for further progress.Defending world champion, Jenson Button has also commented that "he believes Ferrari must be the team to beat in 2010, being the most consistent so far."

Vijay Supports Ajith

The issue that is currently rocking the Kollywood is Ajith's controversial speech at the CM's felicitation function that took part on Feb 6th. He made a plea and ardent request that art and films must not be mixed with politics and film actors should not be pressured to take part in Political functions. Simbu & Ranbir in Mani Ratnam's next film

Ace director Mani Ratnam who is busy with the post production works of "Raavan" is all set for his next film. The film is expected to be a bilingual film featuring Bollywood's heart-throb Ranbir Kapoor in the Hindi Version. Earlier, actor karthik's son Gautham was being chosen for the lead role.

Interstingly, Mani ratnam has approached Simbhu instead of Gautham. Simbhu, who has just completed vinnai thaandi varuvaaya was actually opted for KV Anand's "Ko". But he was completely bowled over by the offer of Mani Ratnam. As usual AR Rehman will be scoring the music and will be produced by Mani's Madras Talkies.

Saw VII to go 3D

Do u know the latest buzz in Hollywood? The seventh part of the horror flicker Saw will be shot in 3D! The film will be directed by Kevin Greutert(saw VI director). Written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, it stars Tobin Bell as Jigsaw/John Kramer, Costas Mandylor as Mark Hoffman and Betsy Russell as Jill Tuck. The sad news is that, this will be final one in the Saw film series. Owing to the poor show at the Box office by Saw VI, Patrick Melton made it clear this will be the end. Lionsgate will be producing the film and the budget is estimated to be $17 million. It is scheduled to hit the screen on October 22, 2010.

The Royal Canadian Mint(RCM) unveiled the biggest gold coin in the world On May 3, 2007. The coin, which weighs 220.5 pounds(100 kgs) has a diameter of 21 inches (53 centimeters) and over 1.2 inches(3 cms) thick making it the largest of its kind. The coin is worth 1 million Canadian dollars(U.S. $903,000). Made with pure gold, it also has an immense hand crafting. The coin was originally designed to increase the international profile of RCM . But later was showcased to promote the RCM's new line of 99.999 percent pure, one-ounce gold maple leaf bullion coins. The coin is made only by order and has received 5 orders till date.

The Hope Diamond

Of course, no article about notable diamonds would be complete without mentioning the Hope. This 45.52 fancy deep blue diamond is gorgeous, to be sure, but also deadly - at least according to some. The Hope’s story starts with the Tavernier Blue, a crudely cut triangular stone of about 115 carats that was sold to King Louis XIV in 1669. Several years later, Louis had the stone cut down to about 67 carats and had it suspended on a gold ribbon so he could wear it on formal occasions. He renamed the new cut the “French Blue.” In the mid 1700s, Louis XV had the gem set into a pendant and it was much speculated that Marie Antoinette wore it; the curse is the reason she was beheaded. Not so, say most historians: there’s no evidence that it ever adorned the doomed Queen. The French Blue mysteriously disappeared in a jewel heist in 1792 and never turned up again. However, the Hope Diamond suddenly arrived on the scene just as the statute of limitations on the jewel heist was running out 20 years later. It happened to be the exact same color as the missing French Blue, although it had been cut differently and was decidedly smaller. The Hope had several British owners throughout the 1800s, although, surprisingly, it never came into the hands of the Royal Family. By 1910, famed jeweler Pierre Cartier had acquired the blue beauty and sold it to American socialite Evalyn Walsh McLean. She wasn’t interested until he reset the old stone in a modern setting and told her tales of the curse. She wore the stone for 37 years (and often let her dog wear it around the house as well) and left it to her grandchildren upon her death in 1947. However, she was quite in debt, and her trustees ended up selling it in order to pay of some of the money she owed. That’s how Harry Winston ended up owning it until 1958, when he decided that it belonged to the Smithsonian and sent it there in an uninsured brown paper envelope. It’s still part of the Smithsonian today, and so is the envelope.

Online launch for Force India VJM03

India's Formula one racing team, Force India will unveil its 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship challenger, the VJM03, in an online presentation on 9th of this month. It will make its official testing debut at Spain’s Jerez circuit the next day.

The Mercedes-powered machine will be race this season by the team’s unchanged driver line-up of Germany’s Adrian Sutil and Italy’s Vitantonio Liuzzi.

Force India, which is owned by Indian Breweries Tycoon Vijay Mallaya, enjoyed their most successful season to date in 2009, scoring their first points, podium and pole position and finishing ninth in the constructors’ standings.
