Mitchell Johnson fined for 'headbutt' clash

New Zealand won the first one day international cricket match against World no.1 team Australia here at McLean Park, Napier, New Zealand. The Visitors won the toss & elected to bat first. They kept loosing wickets at regular intervals & finally made 275 runs in 50 overs.

In reply, the host without their captain Daniel Vettori batted well. McCullum and Ingram gave a good start. Stand in captain Ross Taylor scored 70 runs & Scott Styris made an unbeaten 49 which helped them to chase victory with just four balls to spare.

During the 46th over of New Zealand's chase, Scott Styris struck two boundaries of Mitchell Johnson. This led to bump shoulders and then clash heads followed by a verbal exchange between the two. Later the two men were found for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct with Johnson fined 60% of his match fee and Scott Styris, a 15% fine.
