A statement on the club's official website stated Wayne Rooney has agreed to stay until 2015, just days after speculations of him leaving the club. It was rumored Rooney may leave Man U and join bitter rivals Manchester City.
Man utd Scottish Manager Sir Alex Ferguson met the club's chief executive David Gill and Rooney's representatives following allegations of the England striker's desire to leave the club. After a series of meeting with the club members, players and Rooney's representatives, it has now been confirmed now that Rooney has signed a five year contract and will be available for the red devils till 2015.
Man U's fans are very excited over Rooney's decision to stay with the club. The club has thanked its supporters who were patient regarding Rooney's future at Old Trafford.
