Karun Chandhok to race for HRT


Formula one 2010 season is all set to start next week & with the introduction of new teams & new drivers fans are more excited. Even in countries like India, where F1 race is not so popular, the momentum has increased since there is one Indian team (Force India owned by Indian liquor tycoon Vijay Mallya) running on track. And now Indians have one more sweet reason to cheer. Karun Chandhok has been confirmed by Hispania Racing Team (HRT) to race for the F1 2010 season. He is only the second indian to race on Formula one. Prior to join the big league, Karun Chandhok was busy driving in GP2 Series for three years. The official announcement came during the event of the Hispania Racing team unveiling their car for the 2010 season. The 26 year-old driver will partner Bruno Senna of Brazil. Narain Karthikeyan made his Formula One debut in 2005 with the Jordan team, and was Williams F1 test driver in 2006 and 2007.
