Earlier, KKR which won the toss decided to bat first and the decision didn't go in vain. Skipper Sourav Ganguly scored his sixth half-century (56 off 46 balls) in Indian Premier League. Ganguly and Chris Gayle (40 off 21 balls) added 94 runs in the first 10-odd overs to give the home side a perfect start. Angelo Mathews (46 off 28) and Manoj Tiwary (26) made a 70-run unbeaten partnership in the last seven overs to help the Knight Riders 181 runs in 20 overs with the loss of just 3 wickets.
