The 2010 TIME 100

World famous 'Time Magazine', today announced the "100 most influential people" in the world. Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva headed the list in "Leaders" category ahead of U.S. president Barack Obama who was placed only at 4th place. India's Prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was placed 13th in the list of leaders.

Apart from Dr. Manmohan Singh, three nore indians found their places in the list of "Heroes". Aravind Eye Hospitals chairman Dr. P. Namperumalsamy who has done 3.6 million surgeries to date a record of a new one every 15 minutes tops the list of indians. Cricket world's Master Batsmen Sachin Tendulkar who recently broke the world record for scoring the most runs in a cricket match and India’s richest woman Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, chairman of Biocon were the other two. This year too, Oprah Winfrey made herself in the list under the "Artists" category.
