'Kites' flies high in New york

Bollywood's much awaited movie of the year 'Kites' had its premiere in New York on Sunday. The movie stars Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori in the lead roles. Hrithik plays the role of a salsa teacher who falls in love with Barbara Mori, an illegal immigrant from Mexico. Kangana Ranaut, Kabir Bedi and Yuri Suri are also a part of the cast. ‘Kites’ has been made in two languages - English and Hindi.

The Bollywood Hindi version is directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Hrithik's dad Rakesh Roshan who has also composed the music. Hollywood director Brett Ratner has directed the English version of the film that will open May 28. This is expected to boost the business of Indian films in global movie market. Reliance Big Pictures is distributing the film on more than 2000 screens worldwide. This includes 200 in North America alone.
