David Beckham - Yahoo's sports ambassador


Internet giant Yahoo! has roped in worldwide

icon ‘David Beckham’ as its "global sports ambassador" for its ad campaign ahead of the FIFA World Cup.

Yahoo will now feature a separate online channel for David Beckham to broadcast his message to nearly 600 million users in 20 countries. The financial terms between Yahoo! and Beckham were undisclosed. Beckham’s contract will be running through September with the potential for it to be extended.

Beckham, who is with the England team, but not a part of the World Cup squad because of a ruptured Achilles tendon will share his thoughts and experience in three consecutive World Cup championships and his club experiences in both Europe and the US.
