Virender Sehwag tops ICC Test Batsmen rankings

In the recent ICC rankings for Test batsmen, India's Flamboyant Opener Virender Sehwag has maintained his no.1 position. Team India has also retained its top spot in the latest chart. Virender Sehwag tops the list of players with 863 points and is followed by another opener from South Africa - Hashim Amla. Amla now has 842 points. Sri Lanka's former skipper Mahela Jayawardene is at 3rd spot with 836 points.

Sehwag's opening partner Gautham Gambhir and Little master Sachin Tendulkar are the other two Indian batsmen who have managed to register therir names in top-10. They are at number sixth and seventh positions with 824 and 805 points respectively. India's VVS Laxman and "The Wall" Rahul Dravid rankings remained the same at 14th and 16th spot respectively.

In the list of bowlers, only two players from India are in the top-10. Left arm pacer Zaheer Khan is placed at number six followed by Harbhajan Singh at number seven. Team India is at the top of the position in the teams rankings with 124 points followed by South Africa with 120 points and Australia with 119 points.
